Network and Connectivity
G8 can be configured to attempt cellular network connectivity in two ways:
Continuous connectivity
Reduced communication frequency
These options define the G8 connection-attempt and reporting-frequency intervals, affect the device's battery life, and align G8 usage with operational preferences.
Note: In both Continuous connectivity and Reduced communication frequency configurations, G8 stores device data locally (for example, compliance gas readings) for up to 24 hours, depending on use. G8 continues to receive real-time alerts as soon as they occur on the device.
